It was an exciting weekend at the Middletown Chapter House at 185 High Street in Middletown, Connecticut. Just 16 hours after pledging twenty-three members of the Wesleyan University community, the chapter hosted the first initiation ceremony for the Granite Affiliate Chapter, based at the University of New Hampshire.
The eight new initiates were led through their pledging process by Pledgemasters Brother MC Chan (MID '02), Brother Rebecca Rush Shoup (BDN '94), and Brother Kristen Soule (BRN '99). In attendance at Saturday afternoon's event were nearly one hundred members of the Society, including undergraduates from the three active East Coast chapters and alumni from as near as down the street here in Middletown to as distant as Lafayette, California.
The Granite Affiliate is now led by President Meredith Lee (GRN '10); Vice President Patrick Connelly (GRN '10); and Secretary Amanda McManus (GRN '10).
The Society is excited to celebrate this momentous occasion in the Granite Affiliate's history, as well as our collective history, and we look forward to great things from our newest initiates.
